China University of Geosciences is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a university approved by the state to establish a graduate school, and a national "211 Project" and "Double First-Class" university. China University of Geosciences is located on the banks of Donghu Lake in Wuhan, with the foothills of the mountain in the south. The school is characterized by earth sciences, with disciplines covering science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, education, art, etc. Two first-level disciplines, geology, geological resources and geological engineering, have been selected for the "double first-class" construction discipline.

The school has field geological teaching and practice bases in Beijing Zhoukoudian, Hebei Beidaihe, Hubei Zigui and Badong. The school is characterized by earth sciences, with disciplines covering science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, education, art, etc. Two first-level disciplines, geology and geological resources and geological engineering, have been selected for the "double first-class" construction discipline.
